Baani is a member of the investment team at Apis and is based in Bangalore.
Prior to joining Apis, Baani spent 3.5 years at Omidyar Network where she was responsible for sourcing, evaluating and managing seed to series B investments across multiple sectors. As part of her role, she led investments in and worked closely with several of the fund’s financial services/ fintech investee companies.
Previously, Baani was an Associate Vice President in the Corporate Finance practice at KPMG, where she focussed on mid-market strategic M&A and private equity fundraise transactions. She also worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions team of BMR Advisors, a boutique consulting firm started by ex-Anderson partners, where she advised domestic and multinational clients from deal origination to closure.
When she’s not working, Baani enjoys going to the movies, music festivals, and heading down reddit rabbit holes.
