Q&A
I love to travel and keep active. These days I spend most of my spare time either running or cycling. I also regularly play squash and in general enjoy watching most sports including cricket and football.
It’s a tough one but it would have to be a choice of either heading back to Argentina and Chile in order to properly explore the deep south of South America (I was fortunate enough to spend several months in 2018 travelling across South America); or venturing over to Australia and New Zealand (neither of which I have been to yet).
I joined Apis from an accountancy background where I was working in practice and regularly providing support to the finance teams of private equity/venture capital investment managers. Here I was covering various matters (including audit, financial reporting and taxation) which impacted the various entities across a typical PE/VC structure (including both the funds themselves and management entities). I am therefore well versed in the typical nuances of the space in which Apis operates.
Financial Services shouldn’t just be seen as a sector within Growth Markets. Instead, these services are a necessary component for all sectors within a growing economy and are required for a growing economy to develop to its best potential. Effective Financial Services ensure that there is the appropriate infrastructure in place for businesses to grow through improved access to customers and credit, and so underpins the growth potential in Growth Markets.
