This IS the job I coveted while I was in the first half of my career! I have spent the past 20 years as an operator and aspired to one day be able to contribute my experiences in fast-growing companies and digitally-oriented financial services to a chance to make a big impact on the broader scale that APIS offers.

I get to collaborate with relentlessly committed colleagues and portfolio and target investee executives on how to bring world-class financial solutions to underserved customers in growth markets. I feel like I lucked out!

I spent more than 20 years investing in growth markets, of which more than 10 years focusing on financial services in Africa, South and Southeast Asia. Along the journey, I have been driven by working with experienced investors to support talented management teams in growing their businesses in exciting markets.

Over and above the outstanding scale opportunity, investing in financial services in growth markets benefits all stakeholders – businesses grow through better use of technology and data, customers get access to financial services more efficiently and effectively, and governments benefit from financial inclusion.
