Remi Babalola
Remi Babalola’s experience spans Financial Services, particularly in the areas of digital enablers and financial inclusion, policy environment and deal engagement; this presents opportunities for business and regulatory contacts, sectorial insights and operational expertise.
Currently, he is Chairman/ Chief Strategist of Alternative Capital Partners Limited, a Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) registered Advisory and Fund/ Portfolio Management firm in Nigeria. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Law Union and Rock Insurance Plc.
Prior to joining Apis, Remi served as Minister of State for Finance from July 2007 to August 2010; he simultaneously held the post of Supervising Federal Capital Territory Minister in late 2008.
Before his appointment to the Federal Cabinet, he had extensive experience in the private sector at top management and executive director levels, most especially in banking, auditing, consulting and strategy.
Remi is happily married with children, and enjoys reading, philanthropy and music.
